A nice house in Lauren's neighbourhood on the edge of Heritage Hill. Although I had a reasonably smooth flight, the hurricanes in Michigan the previous day had taken most of the leaves off the trees.

This rapid looked the grandest or at least the most fun for canoeing. There are several small weirs on the river either side of this one.

The town brewery, Founders Brewing Company supports the campaign attempting to put "the rapids back in the Grand for everyone’s enjoyment" and create a water sports centre.

Wiki says "Grand Rapids has long been a center for furniture and automobile manufacturing; however, the presence of both industries has declined in the region along with manufacturing in general."

However, I think this wall and water tower are both pretty awesome!

Unfortunately the maze wasn't in place the year they look the Google maps satellite photo, but it looked like this:

I don't really want to live on Moon Grove in Rusholme. But it is certainly aspirational. A little country lane 2 miles from a city centre. I like the contrast. I used to go and eat sandwiches down there while I was in College.

This house is actually for sale but I don't have the money and I'm scared of the wallpaper.

I don't buy enough from Oklahoma, but I think it's the best shop in Manchester. If anyone I know is visiting the city I take them there for breakfast or coffee or just for any excuse really.

The Peace Garden, Mosley Street.

It's so horrible in here, but it's the closest park to my office. I was determined to find a nice view. The picture benefits from not having scent or sound.
