Moon over the Louvre

It's almost impossible to make a bad photo in front of the Louvre with all the geometric opportunities. But it is really special to have good light and the moon rising over the Louvre. I got lucky on our last night in Paris yesterday....

After several days of overcast sunrises we saw blue sky with a nice reflection of Victoria Peak and Glacier in Lake Louise! This is one of those special places my mind goes to when a little peace is in order.

This to me represents the time we all need to take to breathe and take in the beauty of our world and the great light around us. Because in a couple of hours this train stop will be loaded w people busy to get to work and the light will have passed, the day will have begun w a myriad of responsibilities, stresses and obligations. Let's all remember to stop, breathe and see the light. This light will pass one day for all of us - let's appreciate it now. Good day to you all

Montmartre has a special feeling to it with music playing in the streets and street artists everywhere it has quite a Bohemian feel.In the mid-19th century, artists such as Johan Jongkind and Camille Pissarro came to inhabit the area. At the end of the century the district became the principal artistic center of Paris. Artists who inhabited and worked in Montmartre included Vincent van Gogh, Henri Matisse, Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Edgar Degas, and Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec.

The thing I love most about Paris I think is just walking around the city. Anywhere you are you just look around and you can see beautiful landmarks. My favorite is the Eiffel Tower!

Getting up north to see Canada in August is really something special to this Houstonian but after seeing the Canadian Rockies in the Summer I can't wait to see it in the Fall and Winter!

This is one of those special places on our planet I recommend visiting. I was fortunate to get a nice sky shortly after sunset and the rainbow you may notice in the lower right was a surprise bonus!
