the white stallion was stood peacefully with his hareem until the young pretender arrived and they were moved on, I would like to return to this group again to take shots of him, he has character and is peppered with battle scars, each with a story

took advantage of a break in the weather this afternoon, a brief moments of sunshine before a thunderstorm, I was drenched by the time I got home but worth it, saw several tiny foals, I was content to sit under tree watching (my camera sfaely stowed away from the hail, rain and sleet!)

There are so many pretty coloured horses in the forest but I particularly admire groups of bays they complement the forest environment

well its a funny old summer so far, it must be confusing for the new foals, one minute resting in the sun the next facing a hail storm and frost at night, their mothers are doing a grand job raising them
