BuNiKa Snaps posted a photo:

and nothing will be the same..
scenes after April 10, 2010 : unsuccessful military crackdown
an old lady in red shirt uniform with destroyed army vehicle

i don't see this as political conflict, i see this as life.

all photographs in this series taken by uncle Stabby.
And i just love to collect them with some stories added.

Background Story
In March 2010, UDD (aka. the red shirts) called for a mass rally in Bangkok, demanding a new election. Thai government responded by imposing Internal Security Acts which gave full power to military (to do anything).

On March 12, 2010, UDD red shirts from all over began moving / traveling to Bangkok by cars, buses, pickup trucks, boats, etc, and by March 14, more than 500,000 people gathered on Ratchadamnoen Road, from Sanamluang to royal plaza (see map)

By April 3rd, UDD expanded 2nd protest site to Ratchaprasong shopping district. The government declared state of emergency on April 8, and moved to military crackdown on April 10. (using about 75,000 troops - that is almost 50% of total active arm forces in Thailand.. largest troop movement in modern Thai history, including war time)

BuNiKa Snaps posted a photo:

Bangkok, Thailand :
stabby shot this photograph while he was driving,.. bad habit
but still legal - since the law here only prohibits using cell phone while driving

stabby shot this photo, and i think i will put his stuff on my flickr, gradually over time -
since we don't really know what to do with these cityscape photographs.
Normally, people don't look at them that much. However, each place - each moment
did have some personal meaning, and would be sad to leave them behind. So, i will
put them here..

info :
that skinny tower in photograph called BAIYOK TOWER 2 - the tallest office
building in Thailand. someone told me that all television stations in Bangkok broadcasting their signal from that tower. So, if it's true, that means if anything happens to the top of the tower, there will be no television signal in Bangkok and surrounding cities..
(not include cable / SAT TV because they using different system) hmm

i hope it's true...
