We went bobsledding this weekend up in Lake Placid!

Here our friends Kathleen, Maureen, and Mike careen through the last corner on the Lake Placid Bobsled run. They're going about 55mph here, hence the blur.

The offer half-length rides on the Olympic track, so you don't quite get up to the normal Olympic speeds of 85mph, but for me 55 was plenty fast enough.

My first visit to this amazing building. A bit of a rant here - a big #$%* you to the Apple Store (and the rude uppity employees) that has taken over the balcony overlooking the lobby.

After being kicked out for having my tripod on the top balcony ("WE DON'T ALLOW TRIPODS HERE!"), I moved to the bottom outside of where the Apple store ends only to be told because their SIGN is still on the lower balcony, I couldn't have my tripod there either.

Maybe if I had some shitty Apple product and a crappy Apple-branded tripod I would have been allowed to shoot on a PUBLIC balcony in a PUBLIC building.

Either way, I managed to snap off a few before I was evicted, so Apple and all their hipster employees can bite me. :)
