Going on a tour tomorrow with six photographers to the Isle of Skye. I've hired a Zeiss Distagon T* 18mm f/3.5 for the week. This is a vertorama and was taken out the back of my house, it's my first shot with a Zeiss lens I am very impressed !

I missed most of the autumn leaves during my enforced period with no camera. I just managed to catch the tail end of them here, hopefully there are still more little pockets of them around.

I've been asked to organise a photographic trip through the highlands of Scotland.

The trip will be held over six days in late October 2012 and take in some of the most iconic photographic spots in Scotland as well as some of my own personal favourites. Part tutorial, part guided tour, part philosophy....

Warm sunshine at the Hermitage Dunkeld, a bit of a rarity these days.

It's been a tad breezy this autumn and most of the colourful leaves are down already !

It was very nice to bump into and meet here this morning for the first time long time flickr contact David Mould . I still find it a little bit strange when flickr world reaches out into my real world.

It's bigger, it's better it's on black here !

This shot was taken on a sandy beach early in the morning on the west coast of scotland. The second rainbow got stronger but it was impossible to keep things clean in the rain.

Whilst on the way back from Edinburgh on Friday evening I happened upon an incredible sunset, this is a view of the famous forth rail bridge taken from the north bank of the firth of forth in Scotland.
