Dawn light in Glencoe. From the Skye photo trip third day. First time I'd been here to photograph, bit too crowded for me, there were photographers everywhere. Managed to get this in-between sorting out other members of the group.

The only sharp shot I got, very windy... 5 second exposure at 320mm.

Last week I showed a group of photographers on Skye how to process an image like this using a selective layering technique in Photoshop. The image I used was so unsharp I discarded it immediately afterwards. This image was processed quite differently, just a wee tweak here and there with levels & curves in Photoshop. Thanks for listening to me last week guys, hope it wasn't all wasted...

A moment in the ever changing interplay of light and shadows on the rocks and distant hills from Elgol on the Isle of Skye. This the first post of many shots that I got on a six day workshop I hosted for six photographers, it was exhausting but a very enjoyable and interesting week. I'm looking forward to seeing what everyone else got.

A shot from the weekend, sometime it looked like the light would get good but it never quite got there... Most of the time it was a just a bit of a fug, possibly due to a combination of a high pressure weather system a sea haar and haze from the numerous hill fires in Scotland at this time of year.

I first found this place over fifteen years ago while mountain biking. I've been back here eight times in the last two years without getting anything, it's a two and a half hour drive from home ! I finally got a shot worth keeping last week.

I have a space on a weekend landscape workshop in and around Dunkeld / Perthshire on the 24th and 25th of this month if anyone is interested... angusclyne@hotmail.com

Taken about 40min before dawn. I have tried unsuccessfully for the last twelve full moons to get another moonrise shot, this morning I finally got a moonset instead .
