Charla entre ciudadanos y la policía! ^^

Dialogue between a woman and the chilean police force (not the same as the chilean army) before things got out of hand! Since I had no gas mask I wasn't really able to get close to the rock throwers, fire starters and all the fun stuff.. I did receive water from "guanacos"!!
I have to say I liked the adrenaline of it all even if at one point the gases made it hard to see or breathe!!

No hdr. No fusion or photomatix tonemapping involved.
Camera Raw only & CS5.

As an HDR aficionado I receive from time to time harsh criticism..
I like constructive criticism above all as it helps you evolve.
That's why I always look for the positive side of criticism and work on it.

I took a few years ago this picture and processed it with a heavy tonemapped look.
It got me an Explore Front Page and I'm glad for that.

This time I did without any fusion/tonemapping what so ever!

I now mainly explore 32 bit HDR without Photomatix's tonemapping but I also try to skip any types of hdr fusion when not necessary.
This photo is for me a good example, even if some trees are dark, it doesn't "need" any fusion to reach balance. It represents well the scene as it was and how my eye saw and remembered it.

I have to be honest.. I got in the HDR business for the "HDR texture/look".
5 years later I think my eye is better and sometimes keeping simple is better.
*No HDR. *Not a HDR.

As for the HDR technique, I'll keep on exploring it's infinite possibilities for many years to come, rest assure!!

ps: NO HDR/HDR fusion.. for real guys, not even the slightest!! Only a single RAW that went trough Camera RAW! ;)

Got hooked by the mountains!!
My first real mountain adventure.. even if had a hard time with the altitude and other details, I loved every second! Chile truly has many wonders to discover..
Had no clouds that day but since I live here and it's only 50km from my house.. I can go every weekend if I wanna!!
So except many more mountain pics to come.

It's not every day you can photograph a castle. :)
It may not be quite as real as those scottish or german castles but it surely was as magical in it's own way. Especially for my little girl!
