By the looks of the place, I assume that the employees weren't interested in cleaning up after their last shift on September 29th 2006. The garbage bins were full, dirty and unkept, which didn't look like it was a direct result of the vandalism.

It also appears that the major assets from the Info Centre were professional removed before the facility had been shut down. Phone systems including the payphones, Nortel system and Hydro panels had been removed. Only one POS terminal was found inside the building.

This is the scene inside the abandoned Shell Info Centre located at 334 Highway 401 Eastbound in Mississauga Ontario. Closed down at 10am on September 29th 2006, vandals have taken to the building destroying virtually everything.

I actually didn't bother to check what this device did considering it appears to be in good shape despite the rest of the building. I assume this is the wireless intercom system for Drive-Thru orders.

I wasn't adventurous enough to flip the switch on this one, but had I read the tag I would have seen that someone had been here not even a month prior for some sort of inspection. I'm surprised that anyone would have ventured down to the dark unlit basement for an official inspection, however it would make sense if the MTO plans on tearing the facility down in the next few weeks/months.

I assume that most of the structural damage is due to the lack of maintenance over the past 4 years. There was considerable amounts of water damage in this stairwell, which lead from the basement to the roof as an emergency exit for employees.

The public stairs leading up to the second floor (as well as the basement) had been labeled "V.I.P. ONLY" presumably by the same kids who trashed the place. It would make sense that they used the place for drinking and drugs. I only found 3 bottles in total, so either it wasn't much of a party, or these kids returned them for the deposit.

If you have seen pictures of the Shell Info Centre before it was destroyed or remember what it looked like, you'll recall that the front crescent was all glass. I believe it's required for glass buildings to have white stickets on the windows in order to prevent people from walking in to them. Shell was clever and used their logo in place of a circle. This is probably the only pane of glass that wasn't destroyed on the main floor.

Clever vandals trying to make a point I assume? After trashing government property, why bother writing a little note on the pop machine?

This was located at the second window of the Drive-Thru, which ended up being the only window used leading up to the facility closing down in 2006.

Not quite sure what this Muzak device does, it appears to be the intercom switch for the Drive-Thru.
