Even though the fields are open the public, they still have to pick and ship the flowers, and so you see the workers picking away among the zillion rows of flowers.

On my day off from work I went down to Carlsbad and visited The Flower Fields. The fields were lovely with rows and rows of rainbow ranunculus blooms. Most of you know how much I love pink, so here is the first posting.

I guess this will be my last week of shooting with my Rebel XTi. I just bought a Canon - EOS 50D Digital SLR but will have to wait until it's shipped to me. I love my camera but I think it's time for a new one. I can't wait!!!!

I guess I didn't get the memo. LOL
It was Red Hat Society day at the Flower Fields and these ladies (50 yrs. and over) where all over the place enjoying a day in the sun. A sea of red and purple hats against a sea of colorful flowers. This was taken from above the sweet pea maize. I wounder if they were lost.
