Yesterday was a good for me, photographically. I shot bluebirds, then a pair of osprey, and topped it off with a pretty wicked sunset. I almost didn't shoot sunset too. It was crazy windy along the coast and I was afraid I'd dump my rig over. I just made sure I always had one hand on the tripod and everything worked out.

Another shot of Annisquam Lighthouse. One of the things I like about this location is the there are dozens of interesting compositions one can make, especially at low tide.

I froze my ass off this morning to get this shot. I had planned it for a few months and the conditions were just about perfect. Just a little too windy and cold, but yeah, I'm pretty happy with htis one.

Awesome sunrise at an awesome location today. Elephant Rocks in Westport, MA. I should have gone here sooner, but man am I glad I went today. Expect more from this location over the winter.

Finally, back to the coast! While I may post a few more foliage/waterfall shots, I wanted to share this one. I got back to Allen's Pond after almost a year. It's down the road from Gooseberry, where I usually shoot. For those wondering, the pond is actually behind me as I am facing Buzzard's Bay.

Another selection from my trip to the White Mountains. The sun was breaking through the trees, lighting the water. Luckily it was just dark enough that I could get silky motion in the water without totally blowing the highlights.

The sunset prior to me taking this shot was awesome. Unfortunately, as I was racing to the coast, I got stuck in weekend construction traffic and then got stuck behind a school bus. Ugh. So blue hour shots were all I could get.

I had a fairly amazing sunset tonight at Gooseberry Island. This was my first seascape sunset with the new camera, and I have to say I'm impressed.

A black and white option from my very colorful sunset last weekend. I opted to do this one in b&w because of the amount of seaspray on my filter. I had wiped it just prior to taking this and there were some wicked streaks (most of which are still visible) that really botched the colors in those areas. Turns out it looks great as a black and white. Thanks Nik Silver 2!!!

I had another amazing sunset last night at Gooseberry Island. The waves were crankin, the sky and light were sweet, and the temps were mild. The downside was the wind blowing off the sea made for wicked seaspray. I had to clean my filter about every 2-3 shots, and even then I had to spend more time than I'd like in PS removing the spots.

I'm seriously thinking of a hairdrier and battery pack, mounted right below my lens to blow all the mist away from my front element and/or filter. I could probably make a fortune.

An old, run down barn in the Sugar Hill area of NH.

This is a multi exposure HDR processed with Nik HDREfex. I had no choice but to bracket, my grads didn't do much.
