Taken from river naff... St. Martin. Teknaf. Bangladesh!

The man has a small boat, a small hand-paddle, a small cottage, a small fishing net, two small hands..... but he also has a big green river! Despite his old age, he paddles his boat as if he was a brave soldier of the nature. the green river therefore must symbolize the river of youth. However, to name it first I thought the title as "The man on a green river" which does not equalize the connectivity between the man and the river. Then I thought, the river must have to be emphasized herein also. Without this river, the man is incomplete. Here i titled it as "The man and the green river" for a man who is evergreen like green river.

The international mother language day, 21st February aims at promoting linguistic diversity and multilingual education and to develop fuller awareness of linguistic and cultural traditions based on understanding tolerance and dialogue.

Some statistics:

>>Specialist estimate that, within only a few generations, around 3000 of the worlds 6000 languages will face extinction.

>>28% of the languages are spoken by less than 1000 people!

>>Every 14 days a language die!

Each language embodies unique knowledge of local cultures and natural systems. There are among the few sources of evidence for understanding human history in its entirety. So preserving the endangered language is very important and vital task for any nation and its citizens as well.

Why do often you feel loneliness? Probably.... because .... you are not on the right track ...or .... because you are out from the stream!? So you need some brakes.... You need some courage......
This is the world today..... Even we don't have enough time to be lonely..... Even the blinking city lights will laugh at you..... if you miss me, if you feel loneliness in the middle of a busy street!

One day the Hill wanted to kiss the Sun. And the sun said, dont try... you will be burnt! But the hill was so passionate and replied,
" Let me burn in your love, Let me kiss your ray of light.... I may die but that would be a sign of your love" and it kissed the sun!

So I named the hill, "The Sun-Hill"........

It was a perfect day for "baby's day out" . I followed him all day long and participate in his world.

By the way, the very next thing he did....I mean, his action was to throw all of his sands to me and my camera. It was his one of the favorite games during our St. Martin's tour.

There was a big blue sky over the green trees and white sands..... I opened my eyes and felt emptiness. Then I closed my eyes and drew this scene into my mind. I opened my eyes again and felt so relaxed....... Cheers!

Dedicated to a Korean woman....

She helped me with a pair of hand gloves during photograph the first sunset of 2009.....

On that afternoon---
The outside temperature was almost -6/-7 deg. But when I came out from my home I found the sun straight upon the road head setting down... So in a hurry I just grabbed my canon and started shooting. I changed my position here and there for different angles and tried with braketing also. Suddenly I heard some korean languages pointing me.... So I took out my eyes from view finder and found this woman talking to me in Korean.... I didn't understand. I thought if she was angry bcoz i was taking pictures standing in front of her house. So I left the place soon and tried different composition. After a while, I heard her again. This time she brought me a pair of hand gloves and I understood her what she wanted to tell me. The temperature was really cold for a bare hand! But the sunset 2009 told me, "keep my rays......"

So I have decided to dedicate her the two versions of sunset which I took on January 1, 2009.
