Bearreraig waterfall

The walk down to Bearreraig bay is steep and to get onto the beach involves crossing a stream which on that day was (wellie fillingly) in full flow.
This is that stream which makes this spectacular waterfall before flowing out into the sea.
To the left is a small hydro-electric power station which uses the steep site and water from Loch Leathan to generate power.

For me this was an unexpected highlight. A very steep walk beside a hydroelectric power station led down to this amazing beach backed off with high cliffs. Above the cliff to the left (I didn't have a wide enough angle) the Storr rose like something out of 'Jurassic Park'.
There was however the little matter of crossing a stream swollen with recent rain to get onto the main beach. I knew I would have to do this so was wearing wellies but when the water started to go over the top, I just thought, what the heck and waded in. It's amazing how the water in my boots warmed up nicely like a wetsuit for my feet. It did take 3 days to dry them out again though.

Taken on the coast at Ceibr bay in Pembrokeshire.
Just thought what a marvellous place to lie back and read a good book.... but then you would surely get distracted by wanting to look at the view.

There were some interesting rocks at this end of the beach and in this shot you can also see where the stream (which I crossed and got water filled wellies) tumbles into the sea.
Above the tree covered slopes you can just make out the cliff which is above the old man of Storr.
