I absolutely love this plant. My aunt has several varieties of this growing. Although it's quite poisonous, I can't help but be around and take lots of pictures.

Interesting plant! Almost looks like a relative of Celosia or Cockscomb. Don't think it is.

In Photoshop: Duplicate layer, add 4 - 5 px HighPass filter to new layer, and convert new layer to Overlay layer style (adjust opacity if necessary). NO COLOR CORRECTION DONE.

"Esperanza" Tecoma stans, also known as Yellow Bells and Yellow Elder, is quite a prolific blooming shrub in the warm climates of the south. Hardy only to about zone 8b, anything north would render the plant an annual plant. This photo taken in Houston, Texas.

This bud is from our Clematis vine. It will have lavender colored petals just like this one. See the fuzzy hairs on this bud when you view it larger.

An unusually soft and delicate color style for gerberas...this one had hints of peachy-pink in with a soft yellow. How different! How beautiful!

Everything is so springy right now -- color is showing up everywhere. The flowering pear trees, the redbud trees, and this Star Magnolia (Magnolia stellata) blossom. A quick snapshot I took at the local train station.
