Its an old photo I digged up for a project where I needed a jewish picture.
I photoshoped it and i'm really happy with the result,
today I went to derby to the to the Format Photography Festival with uni and its theme this year is Street photography. If your in england I advice u go its really interesting inspiring, anyway this was inspired me to look up some candid for street photography photos.
Derby exhibitions I really liked Bruce Gilden, He's american, Magnum photography really like him! He was given a week project to go round Derby and take photos of people in the street. He seemed to just ambush people in the street the project is called 'head on' you can see a video and read he rest of it here www.bjp-online.com/british-journal-of-photography/feature...
I love the contast of his photos and I dont understand HOW HE DOES IT JUST GOES UP TO PEOPLE IN THE STREET CLICK AND RUN??! why don't people protest and threaten him with abuse?? hmmm

I really need to upload photos theres so many i've done over the last few months and i havnt uploaded on flickr

so when i saw flickr group roulette's challenge for today i knew i had to join in!
i really need to stop using acrilic paint on my skin n buy some facepaint. I'm having problems with my lighting atm everything keeps breaking on me, i dont like the lighting might have to redo the makeup and shoot it outside

finally worked out flickr colour profile thanx to this blog post i also had to send off for the same pic to be printed 3 different ways so i could see what colour it would come out rgb still seems to be the best but still isnt what i see in photoshop so more experimenting before i print out my whole porfolio

p.s. oasis are still practising outside my window...maybe i go and take some photos of them

I've been sooo busy i just feel like I'm going to collapse! I had another driving lesson today, I'm improving i'm turning better and changing signals better and i only nearly crashed into one car today lol I've been also looking into courses for next year possibly just ways to expand my career, I've told to look into fine art photography I'm not sure how much fashion photography is in that. I want to become a fashion photographer.
Also trying out my film camera my canon a-1 slr, its really old I'm going to compare it to digital. I'll developing it myself in the darkroom at college. If it turns out good I'll upload it on flickr.
I've been really struggling for inspiration lately but i find when i pick up the camera and start shooting an idea comes to me, this photo started off as a silhouette by the window with an umbrella, didn't work don't know how i got this.

Spring is here and I'm wearing my polka dot dress again! Ok I'll wash my clothes tomorrow lol So many photos to edit so little time! I had the busyest day i just havnt stopped working!
I changed the background, it wasn't a sky it was trees took a few hours to do

I dont get why the candle pic explored it had so many coments and faves, like one an hour on that day and still getting...strange..

So I ordered some smoke bombs off ebay for an upcoming superhero shoot, I also wanted to practise off camera flash, unfortunately the wireless flash triggers came the day after. So this was a flash on my camera and smoke bombs. My brother Sam was kind enough to pose for me in my back yard. The glasses are the 3D ones you get at the cinema and I took out the plastic lens thing. My housemate gave me the idea! they only cost a quid!

Its meant to be Clark Kent transforming into Superman, not smallville the old classic films :)

I just got a twitter account because I'm really into my work lately (photography-wise) and not everything I want to upload on flickr but I want to keep you guys up to date and keep up to date with you guys!

most pierced woman, her name is Elaine Davidson, I met her in Edinburgh when I went on a holiday with my friends last summer, we went to the fringe festival
i had two seconds to take a photo and I had to pay for a photo, I feel like if i'd had longer at the time I'd got a shot i'd could of posed but ACTUALLY after photoshopping it I like it :)

she's so cute I've always wanted a pet and could never have one, in the future i still plan getting loads of pets when i live somewhere pet friendly...

I'm sitting with elissa in her bedroom listening to oasis play live from our local park, there playing wonderwall..its so strange, i can hear them from my house too.

taken with black and white film macro lense, so much better my camera i felt better about the controls, its really a sooc shot, apart from the crop and smoothing of my arm skin :S i took this after doing a body/black and white/arty shoot for bori, i'll upload some from it, some of them are not suitable for my 'safe acount' lol were making it into a book :D

I'm sooo tired and stuffed up with a cold, this pretty much sums up my day, i had to vote for the 1st time, very confusing didnt actually know who to vote for just i was told by everyone not BNP cause their racist. so i voted consertive, i maybe should researched voting. lol
i cant believe i devolped this film myself it took 25 mins were you have to keep turning it every 30 seconds and adding diffrent chemical stuff, i got help from tutor coz i'm cluless otherwise, then it dries and i spend ages scanning the negatives into the compter, i really want that negative scanner thing at home :)

Hey guys I've noticed a major drop in comments lately, I don't know if its because I've been posting less due to busy schedule and photographer's block or there is no reason.
I love hearing from you guys!

went to the park and took some photos for like an hour spontatous, stuff. I saw all these leaves and thought why not throw them, I didn't notice the nettle right by my leg and got stung for like the 1st time since primary school! oww i've forgotten what dock leaves are.

Ok so I'm a bit behind on photos, hmmm so this was from when i was at college in studio this week. we blew up some balloons and i got inside a big tub with a top hat and clown makeup

today I decided because my hair was a mess to put my hair in plates. This is how I came up with my photo when Elissa wouldn't stop holding up my hair. hehe. all english people you should watch the inbetweeners its too funny I'm on the floor laughing :D

I have to produce 12 new photos for my portfolio based on fashion photography theme. I'm having a complete mind block for some reason. I need to go somewhere for inspiration, any ideas? I like to do surreal photos, one's make you go wtf? thats so cool! but still fashion.
