From this view, it almost looks like the perserved B-12 tower is actually in service.

Conrail units are getting rare, but here we find a matched set of CR dash-eights at the west end of NS' Landers yard.

I don't post a lot of color train photos, and I hardly ever post the same edit of a photo that's been accepted into railpictures, but for this I'll make an exception (color being an important compositional element, and this being the best exposure for showing both engines clearly).

This same train was spotted yesterday in Altoona, Pennsylvania. Today, it went through Hodgkins. That's like light speed in the railroad world!

A rare Conrail B40 heads west through Oak Park on the UP. And here I'd given up hope of seeing anything besides main-line UP power and Metra at the Oak Park station.
