These fireworks were to celebrate150 years of the Royal Albert Bridge a bridge that was built in 1859 by Isambard Kingdom Brunel,

The firework display lit up the bridge up and was as good as the New Years Eve Sydney Harbour Bridge Fireworks .

The Royal Albert Bridge spans the River Tamar Plymouth, between Plymouth on the Devon bank, and Saltash on the Cornish bank. Its unique design consists of two 455 feet (138.7 m) lenticular iron trusses 100 feet (30.5 m) above the water, with conventional plate-girder approach spans. This gives it a total length of 2,187.5 feet (666.8 m).

It carries the Cornish Main Line railway in and out of Cornwall. and was considered the Gateway to Cornwall when it was first built.
