Imago, The Mars Volta

Some months ago I was lucky enough to see one of my favorite bands live. I find their lyrics really interesting (and I won't talk about how much I adore their music!). Sometimes they can be really nonsensical, yet every time I listen to them I can imagine a different scenario and think of a different meaning.

Lately I've been uninspired and tired to take photos, although I've got plenty of free time. I guess I'm just craving for travel. In two months I'm going to move to another country and another city, maybe this will make me feel better so I can dedicate myself to some photography. A change is needed.

I was looking forward to taking some interesting photos of senior people for a contest I would like to take part in. Instead of walking around and taking shots I chose a different strategy. A friend of mine suggested me to stay on one spot and take pictures as people would pass me by. The characters in this photo were exiting a shop when I took this picture, but a man spotted me and asked me to take more photos. Maybe I'll upload them later. I like this one better, because it's more casual while the others look like portraits they take you at a cheap photo studio.

There is nothing like traveling alone. This was my first time going from country to country by meself and I absolutely loved it. Marienplatz, too crowded for my taste, but still I managed to find some flowers I could play with. That's the christmas tree in the background.

This man was reading a book in front of the bookstore. My theory is that he had bought it some minutes ago before I took the picture. At first, I thought Fischer was the author of the book, but I found out that Fischer (Verlag) is actually a name for a German publishing house founded by Samuel Fischer in Berlin. Through their official website, I found some amazing sites about Franz Kafka and Thomas Mann, both in German. It's interesting that by taking photos we can learn a lot of different things.
