Hey guys, how bout this new format eh? Haven't had much time to explore it but so far i'm liking what i see! Here's a Seattle sunrise from a few years ago. Was very fortunate to have heard the alarm that morning. Hope your week is off to a great start :)

Thank you for your positive response on my last image. It means a lot to me to get feedback. I'm trying to be more active on here again. Here's another view of that incredible lenticular cloud at Mt Rainier last fall. It was truly magical :)

Posting this for Ray Wise & Dan Anderson who always send me kind messages of encouragement :) This was one of those mornings where the clouds started out all over the place but ended up putting on one of the best shows i've seen. OLD: Just a quick post to say hello to everyone. Life is still busy for various reasons. Have a few shows coming up and am moving soon. I should be able to sneak on occasional Flickr peek. Sadly, I don't think I will really be back to my normal Flickr self until the end of October though :(

This was a July sunrise at Mt Shuksan on an outing with Aaron Reed and Vinny.

This shot is from a summer adventure with Justin and Aaron. We hiked up to Spray Park during peak wildflower season. I was determined to post a shot from this location because to photograph sunset requires hiking a few hours in the dark. I felt in this case it was very much worth the adventure. This view of Mt Rainier rarely disappoints.

I am slowly getting around to everyone's streams. Can't wait to see what kind of trouble y'all have been into lately. Thanks so much for your visits :)

It was tough to get a decent comp at this location. I wanted to end the year with some nice color so figured I would post it anyhow. And yes, i screamed with delight when i saw this scaring all the pelicans & seagulls away :)

I am still working on catching up with everyone's streams. If i haven't paid you a visit, I will soon!

I finally got to check out Denali National Park and it was worth the wait. For anyone thinking about it you just need to do it. The views were amazing and so was the wildlife. One day we were fortunate enough to see Mt McKinley I had to capture some of the fall color in the foreground.

I am off for one more adventure before summer officially ends. I will be online next week and will "really" be catching up with everyone then. Enjoy your week!! :)

Vinny and I were looking for wildflowers up at Mt Rainier and were so blessed when this gorgeous sunset appeared. Trust me, this never happens to me so I was in absolute awe and had to pinch myself a few times. The mountain did not have quite as many colorful clouds around it but I will post the mtn shot at a later date :)

Heading to another beautiful US location until next week. Wish me luck on some decent light there, at least, for very little rain.

Have been out and about shooting in a lot of different places lately. But no matter how far I go, i always seem to find beauty right down the road from where I live :) Yes, i have a TON of images to go through in my archives and will be getting a decent processor soon. I might also need an assistant to help me go through my shots to find the keepers if anyone is interested :)

Yeah, this is off season but i have thought about posting this shot for the past 8 months :) Wanted to put one more shot up before i head out and thought i was way overdue for a mountain scene. On a separate note, I would love to know if any of my contacts are in or near Moab. little m & I are hitting the road and would love to meet up with you so send me a flickr mail if you're in that area :)

Attended a fabulous Palouse workshop a few weeks ago led by the famous Adrian Klein & Kevin McNeal This was the most amazing experience, learned so much. If you are ever in the area you should check them out. Also had a fun time shooting with other workshop attenders & talented Flickrites, Lynn, djvinny, Ireena, Anne Strickland, Devin, the list goes on :)

I took this shot of Steptoe and really liked the way the clouds were casting shadows on the hills. Unfortunately the stormy sky bothered me so much I was going to just delete my shots. This is the first time I have considered and attempted to add another sky to an image. The sky i added was taken a few miles away the same day at a different time of day so it didn't feel like i was entirely cheating the system by doing this. I have posted the "original" sky in the comments just so everyone can see the comparison. The original sky was just too busy for my liking and these white, puffy clouds are what the Palouse area is all about. Steptoe is the hill that people drive up to take most of the Palouse field shots. But i found the hill itself to be quite picturesque and willing to pose for me that day.

I hope this sky replacement doesn't ruin my rep...ha! I promise not to make a habit of it. I am pretty sure 50% of you will like the new and 50% will like the original, me just can't win :) I am also going to process some Ruby beach shots this weekend so should have one coming up on Monday or Tuesday.

Had plans to shoot a sunrise this morning but got some heavy fog instead. This spot is my plan b and I went solo, true story:) For those of you wondering if I got some shots at the farm in the San Juans last weekend the answer is "not really". With the exception a few farm animals who told me they really don't want to make an appearance on Flickr at this time. Hopefully I will actually have a "colorful" shot to add to my collection before the end of February. Have a great week! Took this last month at Ruby Beach. Finally got a bit of a sunset. And yes, this was the actual sky :) sorry Greg oh, this happened Sunday night after you left to meet our girl Lynn. I know this shot could use a little lightening on the left but i was too tired to complete the task and my pool boy was off tonight.
