A few months ago I made a huge coffee table book of all my Disney photos. In the process I came across a few photos that I felt needed to be re-edited for one reason or another before they went into the book. Here is one of the shots I redid. I posted the original version of this almost a year ago and the reason I processed it again was because I felt it looked much too "overcooked" (see the original below). Thoughts?

Nothing groundbreaking here, just a quick shot I grabbed on my way past. In hindsight I really should have tried to be more creative but this was my first trip to Walt Disney World with a DSLR and a tripod so I was just happy to get a night photo that wasn't a blurry and/or noisy mess.

Anyone who has tried to photograph Splash Mountain at night knows what a nightmare it is. With that bloody flash firing every 8 seconds or so it creates all sorts of problems with the exposure. I won't get into all the processing steps required because I would probably run out of space here so just trust me, this one was a challenge! Thanks for looking!

One shot I knew I had to try with my circular fisheye lens was the "under the earth" shot looking up at Spaceship Earth. I've never seen a photo that can capture the entire sphere from below so I thought I would try it with an 8mm full frame view. I set my camera directly on the ground in a spot that looked relatively centered and used the self timer to trigger the shot. The only problem was that there was no place for me to hide so as not to show up in the frame. To avoid this I basically ran circles around the camera to make myself "disappear." I can't imagine how ridiculous I looked, thankfully the park had pretty much emptied out by that time. Thanks for looking!
