If you include the spots on the head, there are 27 spots. And this individuum has actually only 10 spots on each elytron, as two are fusioned.
Different to other ladybugs, this species eats mildew.

Not exactly sure, but I think it is some sort of Clematis. Was surprised by the huge amount of different sorts of Clematis (see wikipedia).

Recently I haven't been posting a lot - it's because we are so busy with our moving to Sweden. I hope to have more flickr time again in october.
