I took this photograph just off River Road up from the library and town offices.
The Appalachian trail and the Long Trail cross close by at Thundering Brook.

It was a clear evening as a high-pressure area lingered above, but something in the atmosphere caused the sun to fistort and apprear to drip off the bridge. The last remnant of sun did not sink; it simply disappeared in a instant. Jef and I were watching carefully for a green flash however, the sun just went poof or plop!It really did not male any noise
