New York City, the Lower East Side. Ludlow St, just a few blocks south of Houston.

This was my first trip to the city, and I didn't know what to expect. I stayed in the building I was standing upon to take this. I love the Lower East Side; a lot of the stores and restaurants are posh, but the apartments and architecture of the buildings look worn, giving it a really gritty, urban feel. In some ways, it reminded me of downtown Detroit.
