Photographed Aldís at night when it was snowing, ambient light only. That boat´s name in the backround is "Venus", wich I thought was interesting considering that Aldís posed as Venus for the Gods series found here.

Taken close to Hafnarfjörður, so close that the ambient light from it mostly overpowered the northern lights, but I like this photo, mostly because of the color combination and the road in the foreground.

Jökulsárlon fireworks

I Went to the annual fireworks show at Jökulsárlón wich is usually held the last saturday of August each year, first time I have been there since I have always been booked for work the same days. It did not dissapoint! I must admit, when I look at this picture, I feel like I could have framed it better, I feel like I am looking at the left half of a "landscape oriented" photo, but I was too busy enjoying it to really focus on taking photos anyway.

They started the display just after 23:00, I wish they would have had it an hour sooner, that way there would still be a hint of color in the sky, wich would make for a lot more interesting photograph, in my opinion.

Went out late in the evening with Alexandra to take some photos. She asked for some bikini pictures in a non typical setup, not on the beach. This was taken after midnight, after the sun set. Makeup by my wife Henný.

That evening there was a very good aurora borealis forecast, so I set out for the south coast of Iceland, but it started snowing rather heavily so I turned back about half an hour out of town. I instead went out with Aldís because the snow was very beautiful that evening, big chuncks of snow and very little wind, perfect for a shoot for my "after dark" series. Ambient light only.

Taken the same night as the other borealis photos I have posted recently. I am not sure what that house was but it was close to the parking lot at Seltún, from here it looks like a house, but honestly I think it was an outhouse :)

Taken in the surf of the beach as the tide rolled in, the model is in only ankle deep water but the tide came in with such power that it splashed around like this. Ambient light only, though the white surf acted as a pretty nice natural reflector on her.

Aurora Borealis over Þingvellir

Went out that night with my friends Indriði and Nonni to Þingvellir to take some borealis photos. We didn´t see any at first and almost gave up when these showed themselves. At the very same time, the moon, wich was pretty strong that night, came out of the cloud cover right behind me, lighting up the foreground very nicely like this.
