This is my second entry to this weeks project 52 theme which is "About Me".

I like to consider myself a creative person and someone who is always looking for a picture.
Hence this photoshop of me putting my favourite lens the nifty fifty into my right eye.

Blown Away

Quite simply blown away.

Grabbed one of the dandelion's from the garden and held it up in front of the camera.

With a flash set to 1/32 power off to the side I blew the seeds off and pressed the shutter at the same time.

First attempt and near enough straight from the camera.
Darkened the blacks, upped the whites and corrected the colour balance.

Second entry for this weeks Project 52.

This weeks theme is "Abandoned" and this is a bit of abandoned farming equipment in a nature walk on the Wards Wetland in Elgin.

This old war time bunker has been abandoned for many years.

Built into Lossiemouth forest in case the enemy decided to attempt to sneak in from the sea.

The forest is slowly reclaiming for its own.

Wide Angle Descent

Out with Andy Lochhead getting some downhill mountain biking sports photo's.
Andy was a great sport and very happy to do certain parts over till we got the shot.

This was shot with a Sigma 10-20mm wide angle lens and my Speedlite flash on a tripod set off to the side on a wireless trigger at 1/32 power.

Spring Cleaning

Having a spring clean and out pops a borrower who thought I was trying to spray him with the Mr Sheen.

Taken over two pictures (obviously) one in the studio on a green screen (picture here) and one on the dining room table.

Combination of natural light to light the scene and a speedlight set at 1/32 to catch the spray.

Combined using FX Home PhotoKey Pro 5 software.

Playing around with some pictures and decided to try the Droste effect.

Unfortunately the popular plugin that most people use doesn't work in CS6 so I found a program called Photospiralysis (website here)

Quite like the effect so might play around with some other pictures at a later date.

Spotted these young kids standing by the Angel as the clouds were rolling in. Asked them to jump on the count of three and managed to get some of them jumping better than others.

The Angel of the North HDR

Getting a good distance back from the Angel allowed me to get the whole statue in this frame on my 18mm.

Again shot in HDR over 6 shots of varying exposure level.

Compiled in HDR Pro Efex 2 by Nik Software.

Looking back up the river

Standing on the Millennium Bridge and looking back up towards the Tyne bridge.

Again quite a shaky bridge once people start walking/running over it so had to time this shot just right.

Public Footpath HDR

Over at St. Mary's Lighthouse today and trying out HDR (High Dynamic Range) photography.

Really liking the results of this is not overused.

Converted to black and white to really bring forth the detail in the wooden sign.

Colourful Tyne

Right at the end of the Quay now looking back and you can see the Tyne bridge in the background, the millennium bridge in the foreground and the Sage in the mid-ground.

Again a good example of the colour that the Tyne river has at night and how clear the water can be.

Straight out of the camera as the sky cleared up enough by this point to lessen the light pollution orange haze.

River Tyne Panoramic

Shot from on top of the Tyne Bridge looking down onto the Tyne river with the Millennium bridge and the Sage building in shot.
