In late February, four people were shot inside Stormy's bar (formerly Roxy's) in downtown Lima, Ohio. One of the victims died.

I have been out of state for the last week taking care of my parents so I've had almost no time for photography. I did have one afternoon free and went to a park with my little p&s. Thought maybe the shadows and light give this a sense of depth.

Taken for the DPS assignment: Street signs. This is so narrow that vehicles have to take turns to go through it. Plus it's busy. I had to wait a long time to take a shot with no cars or trucks going through it.

Whenever I'm on this overpass and look down at all the trains and tracks, I'm struck by the absence of human activity, giving the scene a feeling of solitude. When I saw the lone caboose, I thought it captured this feeling.

This is another shot taken from a car along the north side of Interstate 270 between Sawmill exit and 315. We were going east. Taken on the same trip as the previous shot.

Taking landscapes is not my strong suit, lol. I think partly because of my location. I hope the new DPS assignment posted this Wednesday will be more interesting.

This building had something to do with the railroad, though I'm not sure of its purpose. The following three shots are the interior. It was kinda scary going into the building.

I might submit this for the DPS weekly assignment: Street signs. I'm not sure if it's street signy enough, though. I was shooting into the evening sun and it caused that foggy area on the left. I'm not sure if I like that or not.

The city basically closed down on Feb 2. Bet you can guess why. I did this quick snapshot of my neighbor. I couldn't stay out long with my camera. It was just too nasty.
