I had to be a big ass kid and hop over this puddle too. He did a better job than me, I was weighed down by all the stuff in my jacket pockets, eh well, good times nonetheless.

For the actual shot I intended to get the kid actually jumping over the puddle but the camera turned on too late (the Sx130 isn't the fastest camera in the world y'know) but I was still pretty much satisfied with the potential of the pic after a little fixing up for presentability.

I threw it in Paint.NET, changed it to black and white because I really wanted to capture some souls ;-), added some contrast and sharpness and voila, another pic to be proud of. Hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

To come clean, I shot this on March 19th, a relatively crappy day compared to the sunrise/sunset-ish shot portrayed here, I screwed around with some levels in Paint.NET, merely experimenting, and got this nice orange color and decided to stick with it. Originally I was aiming for a cool blue to give the portrayal of a crappy commute over to the city, but this helps give the feeling of the beginning of an early morning commute for Staten Islanders or something of that nature.

Still, I hope you enjoy the pic, I'm pretty much able to work with the camera without looking at it and post process always reassures me that I shouldn't delete that many pics, because the ones I deemed crappy might have been my most loved photos...

Haven't been on here much (my camera broke and I'm just gonna say screw it and get a new one hopefully next month). By then I'll be back to aimlessly wandering around and grabbing pics. :)

Took a walk down the Hudson River promenade from Chambers Street to South Ferry. Great walk, I always have to do it when I'm in the area. I'd never jog it though, lol.

The train arriving into the station must be the most euphoric moment of any commuter's travels. I tried to get just a bit more of the train into the shot but I pressed the shutter too early. Eh well.

Broadway near Prince Street in SoHo, guy looking lost and as the title says "looking for direction". As New Yorkers, no matter how city savvy we might be, we all have this moment where were looking aimlessly around, looking for some type of guidance seemingly.
