It's funny...I took this photo last Spring, when the world around me was full of color. It was an "ok" photo...I could find enough fault with it that I chose not to post. Main fault being that the tree trunk is too close to center for my liking, but I wasn't willing to crop it to bring the trunk into the line I wanted. I wanted the house in the background as well as the flowering tree...so the trunk had to stay too close to center. But NOW...as I sit staring at a bleak and gray world out my window, this photo suddenly takes on a whole new beauty and I don't CARE if that tree trunk is too close to center! LOL Hi Flickr friends...I think I'm back. My laptop is fixed..F-I-N-A-L-L-Y! Now I just have to pull myself away from crocheting long enough to work up some new images!

Christmas Town has the most adorable Santa I've ever seen! This was shot through a window - dark outside, lit inside...no flash, handheld...yada yada yada. Considering all that, I was happy with how my adorable Santa man turned out! (Best viewed at Large size)

This was shot a few weeks ago, during a visit to Hollywood Cemetery - here in Richmond, VA. This cemetery is the resting spot of more than 18,000 confederate soldiers. The cemetery also contains the graves of James Monroe and John Tyler (5th and 10th Presidents of the United States). The property sits on a hill overlooking the James River. The name comes from the many holly trees on the property. On the day we visited, the many Crepe Myrtle trees were exploding in bloom...adding wonderful beauty to the scenery!

Small On Black (Large is TOOOO big!)

Went to the zoo today...this camel was chillin' by the fence, resting his chin on the lowest cross bar and I thought it was cute! More zoo pictures to follow. We'll take a break from my usual scheduling! =)
