A very belated "Happy New Year" to you all. I've been very busy and I've not had time to take photos or use Flickr and it's likely to be the same for the next few weeks.

Managed to get out to Edinburgh Zoo yesterday with the Kirkcaldy Photographic Society where we spent a few hours trying to take shots of animals in snowy surroundings.

Taken on our recent Kirkcaldy Photographic Society outing to GlenLyon where the weather was bitterly cold
In reality this was just a little waterfall and to take the shot my bottom was sitting in a pile of snow while my wellie covered feet and tripod were sitting in the water. I had also elbowed another member out of the way but being the true gentleman that he is he made no complaint.

Went along to the local park this morning with my bags of tasty bird treats. This little robin wasn't put off by my chorus of "Feed the birds, Tuppence a bag" from the Mary Poppins film but most of the other people walking seemed to disappear rather quickly,

First experiment with a 10 stop ND filter.
Before I left home there were lots of white clouds moving across the sky. By the time I reached the shore they had all but disappeared and it was starting to rain.
Oh well - I'll try again at the weekend
