Sant’Ingenuino, in tedesco Saubach, fa parte del comune di Barbiano, ha circa 33 abitanti e si trova a 800 m s.l.m sopra la Valle Isarco. Attraversato dal Rio Ingenuino, anche la chiesa del medesimo paese è consacrata a questo Santo ed a S. Albuino. Fu menzionata per la prima volta nel 1398, la scelta dei patroni invece denota una storia più antica.
Sant'Ingenuino è un buon punto di partenza per scoprire le meraviglie di questo territorio. A piedi si può visitare il borgo di Bagni Trechiese, il sentiero delle castagne conduce ad una serie di locande tradizionali, ideali per passare una serata in buona compagnia facendo il tradizionale Toerggelen. E' consigliabile anche una visita alle cascate di Barbiano oppure un’escursione al Monte S. Ingenuino.
S.Ingenuino, Saubach, makes part of the municipality of Barbian and is located, with its 33 inhabitants, at 800 m asl high above the valley floor of the Valle Isarco. The Rio Ingenuino runs through the village, the church of which is dedicated to S. Ingenuino and Albuino. The church dates back to 1398, even if the selection of the patron saints might indicate an older age.
S.Ingenuino is also a good starting point for hikes, many attractions in the surroundings can be discovered on foot. You can for instance walk to Bagni Trechiese or promenade on the chestnut trail, taking you to one of the traditional Buschenschank taverns, where you can enjoy a pleasant Toerggele evening. A hike to the waterfalls of Barbiano is likewise recommendable, also can you scale the Mount S. Ingenuino.

Castel Trostburg, situato nel comune di Ponte Gardena, alla confluenza del Rio Gardena con il fiume Isarco, visto dal paese di Barbiano, posto sul versante opposto della Valle Isarco.
Il castello fu eretto alla fine del dodicesimo secolo ed successivamente espanso nel sedicesimo secolo.
In questo castello visse il famoso avventuriero e menestrello Oswald von Wolkenstein.
Oswald von Wolkenstein (presumibilmente Val Pusteria, 1377 – Merano, 2 agosto 1445) è stato un poeta e diplomatico tedesco. È stato inoltre anche un cantante e compositore, oltre che un uomo politico. Il suo casato deriva da Wolkenstein in Val Gardena.
Nacque con buona probabilità a Castel Schöneck, presso Falzes in Val Pusteria, dove il padre era castellano nell'anno della nascita di Oswald. Tuttavia visse per gran parte della sua vita presso Siusi allo Sciliar, dove sono ancora visibili i ruderi della sua abitazione, il Castelvecchio (in ted. Burg Hauenstein)[1] immerso nei boschi ai piedi dello Sciliar.
La sua lapide è a Bressanone, nei pressi del Duomo, mentre la sua sepoltura avvenne - secondo disposizione testamentaria - nel convento agostianiano di Novacella.
Viaggiò in tutta Europa, fino in Georgia, e entrò a far parte dell'Ordine del Dragone che aveva tra i suoi componenti Vlad III di Valacchia e Sigismondo di Lussemburgo, imperatore del Sacro Romano Impero.
Per quasi 600 anni, dal 1385 al 1967, i Conti di Wolkenstein furono i proprietari di Castel Trostburg. Successivamente la proprietà è passata al Südtiroler Burgeninstitut.
Durante la seconda guerra mondiale l'edificio ha subito lievi danni.
Bisogna prestare particolare attenzione al sistema difensivo, alla sala dei cavalieri, alla cappella, ai molteplici affreschi e alle stufe di maiolica.
Altre cose da non dimenticare sono il più grande torchio altoatesino custodito nella torre, un'esposizione di oltre cento modellini di castelli e l'albero genealogico dei Conti Wolkenstein.

The castle was built in the late twelfth century and later expanded in the sixteenth century.
In this castle lived the famous adventurer and poet Oswald von Wolkenstein.
Oswald von Wolkenstein (presumably Pustertal, 1377 - Merano, August 2, 1445) was a German poet and diplomat. It was also a singer and composer, as well as a politician. His family comes from Wolkenstein in Val Gardena.
He was born with a good chance at Castel Schöneck at Falzes in Pustertal, where his father was lord in the year of birth of Oswald. However, he lived most of his life at Siusi, you can still see the ruins of his home, the Castelvecchio (in Ger. Burg Hauenstein) [1] nestled in the woods at the foot of the Sciliar.
His gravestone is in Bressanone, near the Dome, while the burial occurred - according to testamentary disposition - in agostianiano monastery of Neustift.
He traveled throughout Europe, up in Georgia, and joined the Order of the Dragon, which had among its members Vlad III of Wallachia and Sigismund of Luxembourg, Emperor of the Holy Roman Empire.
For nearly 600 years, from 1385 to 1967, the Counts of Wolkenstein were the owners of Castle Trostburg. Subsequently it is passed to Südtiroler Burgeninstitut.
During the Second World War the building suffered minor damage.
We must pay special attention to the defensive system, the knights' hall, the chapel, to the many frescoes and tiled stoves.
Other things to remember are the largest South Tyrolean wine press kept in the tower, an exhibition of over one hundred models of castles and pedigree of Count Wolkenstein.

Venerdì 17 febbraio è la 22° Giornata Nazionale del Gatto.
La Giornata nazionale del Gatto è stata istituita nel 1990 non a caso il 17 febbraio: il numero 17 che ricorda superstizioni popolari legate spesso al gatto e il mese di febbraio che comincia con il segno zodiacale dell'Acquario, i cui nativi, secondo le teorie degli astrologi, hanno un carattere molto simile a quello dei felini. In Italia i gatti domestici sono più di 8 milioni. Ma anche chi non ha un amico in casa da festeggiare può partecipare alle varie iniziative organizzate sul territorio nazionale.
