Oxe Drove Way, Hampshire

The Oxe Drove near Preston Candover, Hampshire (UK). An ancient track, which was once a drove route for cattle, and according to my walking book also a famous salt way (the Lun Way) for transporting salt from the coast to towns inland. While this kind of tracks were mostly created by the Celts, "Lun Way" is probably derived from the Saxon word Lun , which means "popular". Anyway, these tracks were important trading routes long before breathable waterproof membranes were invented. Nowadays, the Oxe Drove is being promoted for recreation.
