Shots from my first visit... And newbie telephoto photography.

We decided to head down to Middle Creek this morning and made it there after 11a.m. (my sister had to charge one of her camera's batteries before we left).

A good chunk of the Snow Geese were nestled in a field behind the reservoir. Luckily not all of them had left, so we got to see most of the remaining flock take flight.

Now that we know where it is, we will make sure to get there as early as possible. Around a 2 hr and 10 min drive for us.

Shot from the edge of the slab rock. Forgot my tripod and had to use the tabletop one I use with my iPhone. Went with a dramatic B&W conversion for this image (which I have used for most recent Black and Whites or Tinted / Toned photos).

Technically, there were four, but it was on the edge of the frame so I cropped it out.

Ashley native and family friend, Miki and I revisited Solomon Creek on Friday for more images to be used in an upcoming Gallery Show (at Kelsey's Restaurant) documenting the features along this waterway. This visit concentrating on photographing the Reservoir upstream.

Spied this old car on our way up to the reservoir. I got a little closer to better see some detail.

Stopped here on our way back from our visit to Middle Creek Wildlife Management Area.
I had the Manheim Diner Burger, Fries & Raspberry Lemonade. My sister had the Mushroom Burger, Fries & Sweet Tea. Great food and service.
