It snowed where we could actually see it from -- well, not our home, but from where Paul works. He took this from just outside his classroom. That playground is on school grounds. And just up the hill -- snow! He sent this picture to me at 1:16, and by 3:09 the snow was gone, but still. Pretty neat.

Robin Williams (who lives in San Francisco a few miles north of here) has adopted this section of northbound 101. Every time I drive by here, I expect to see him out on the shoreline, picking up trash. He never is, though.

The geotag here is not exact, but it's the right general stretch of freeway.

This is Ray Park, just off Lincoln Elementary School. This photo is taken from the pedestrian entrance on the east side of the park, at the end of Cortez Avenue. If you squint you can see a basketball court in the mid-ground, just beyond the walkway. I broke my arm there when I was twelve.

The corner of Bernal and Adeline, Burlingame, CA. They filmed a scene from "The Right Stuff" in front of this house. It's the scene where Mrs. Glenn is hiding from the reporters. I saw them filming it when I was riding my bike home from school one day in eighth grade. Kind of cool. As a California kid, you'd think I'd seen lots of movies being filmed -- but you'd be wrong.
