The Virginia Theatre opened in 1937 and closed in 1959. Since the 1960s, the theater has opened and closed a number of times. In 2012, it appeared to be operating.

The Dr. Pierce's advertisement is fading away. Dr. Pirece was a producer of "medicine" to cure multiple illnesses and diseases. Dr. Pirece was Ray Vaughn Pierce who started his company in the 1860s. He died in 1914, but the brand that carried his name lasted until 1960. In the wall advertisement I could clearly discern "favorite Prescription" and it appears that the word "Quality," closed out the phase. I think that the bottom line on the advertisement was "Cures Weak Women" Dr. Pierce promoted his product as "The Women's Tonic," and the phrase "Cures Weak Women" is used on other Dr. Pierce advertisements. The word, "women" (lower right corner) is clearly discernible.

The depot in North Baltimore was built around 1890 after an earlier one burned down in 1888.

The octagonal shape barn was built in 1863. The barn, about a half mile south of Bryan, Ohio, has been well maintained. In recent years the barn has been given new siding and a roof. In 2012, the barn appeared to be used in agriculture.

The Henry County Sheriff's residence and jail were built in 1892. The jail portion of the building was a jail until around the early 1990s. In 2012, the county used the building in law enforcement . The former sheriff's residence portion of the building was built with features of the Second Empire and Gothic styles. The buiding is on the National Register of Historic Places.

The structure in the photograph is the stone base on which a stand pipe that could hold 367,000 gallons of water set atop. The base and stand pipe were built in 1891. The base is 65 feet high and about 40 feet in diameter at the base. The stand pipe was approximately 25 feet in diameter and 100 feet deep. The stand pipe was necessary because the City operated pumps only 10 to 12 hours a day and storage was needed at night. According to a report from the Ohio Board of Health ("Report of an Investigation of Water and Sewage Purification Plants in Ohio, 1908) the stand pipe gave a pressure of 70 pounds per square inch at the pumps. When the tower was constructed the water stored was not potable, it was to be used for fire suppresion.

Around the beginning of the 20thth century there were 13 different glass companies in Fostoria, An abundant supply of natural gas and rail transportation helped the glass making industry grow. Glass companies produced decorative kerosene lamps, as well as window glass and consumer bottles. Eventually the natural gas supply slowed and the industry pretty much faded out. The Fostoria Incandescent Lamp Company was formed in 1897 and closed in 1920. The company manufactured light bulbs and other lighting equipment.

The depot was built in 1862 by the Sandusky, Dayton and Cincinnati Railroad. In 1892, the "Big Four Railroad"--the Cleveland, Cincinnati, Chicago & St. Louis Railroad-- took ownership of the depot. Service ended at the depot in 1938. The privately owned building was renovated around 2009. The building is part of the Fort Ball-Railroad Area Historic District that is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

The Ritz opened its door in 1928. In the early 1980s, the Italian Renaissance style building was bought by a local nonprofit group. The building was renovated in 1998. In 2012, the building was hosting the performing arts.
