This 2-10-0 loco was built at Glasgow in 1943 as part of an order for the Ministry of Supply. The engine from new was sent abroad to work, and never worked for British Railways. The locomotive was repatriated for preservation from Greece in 1984.
Here its seen on the Mid Hants railway at Alton in a non authentic Longmoor Military Railway guise named "Sturdee" it also appeared in BR black as 90775 just to confuse. The loco is now awaiting overhaul on the North Norfolk railway.

Scanned off a poor quality negative found in my brother's collection.

Clan Line was a loco of my youth often running Newport - Hereford trains in the 1970s.
Its ages since I have got a decent shot of it.

Restored off an old 2nd hand Microflex 120 twin lens camera scratched B&W negative that I was missing about with when a student at Durham University. I subsequently decided to buy a new Yashica 124G that did not scratch the negatives.

Superb loco, one of my favourites sadly not steamed for many years and unlikely to steam for many more.

The Adams Radial built by the London & South Western Railway in 1882 is a locomotive of great beauty.
