Intentionally dim to give the feeling of dusk. Did I go too dark?

I can't believe it's been over a month since I've uploaded a picture! Time flies... My intention was to post one a week from the December trip, but I haven't done a very good job with that.

This shot is one that I've envisioned for quite some time, just never have been in the right place at the right time. Compositional wise I still don't feel like I totally nailed it. That and the sky could have been a little better I think.

Mostly processed in Dynamic Photo HDR. This is three handheld exposures, which is why there is some blur in the trees on the right. One of the caveats of HDR I suppose. Some slight cloning / clean-up in Paintshop.

This shot is another example of why for me, RAW and tone mapping is the way to go. Yeah, there is a little noise that goes with bringing up the shadows, but for me, it's worth it. You can see the original is way underexposed. Also did some wide angle perspective correction...

This is a fairly tight crop, and yes, I know the sky is chaotic. I guess that's what happens when you leave the shutter open for 104 seconds. Next time I'd like to shoot this again but frame it this way to get better resolution on the castle.

...photo edited entirely in RAWTherapee, which I believe is a first for me. Looking at it on the laptop monitor, it looks like I could have gotten away with pushing the colors a touch more, and I forgot to "save" the clocks. I could have done that in RAWTherapee, but I would have had to brush them in - in Paint Shop Pro.

This is the “Entrance Unit with Trumpeters” float at the beginning of the SpectroMagic Parade. While somewhat creepy looking, these trumpeters became face characters sometime in 2007. They were even creepier in their original incarnation, when their faces were these light-up glowing masks. Almost creepy enough to give me nightmares. In fact, I'm sure I probably had a nightmare about them at one time or another and just don't remember.

SpectroMagic originally ran from October 1, 1991 to May 21, 1999, closing in '99 to make room for the Magic Kingdom's return of the Main Street Electrical Parade. It reopened in 2001 with the following changes: Spectro-men had new heads; Genie (from Aladdin) replaced Roger Rabbit; A Sebastian (from The Little Mermaid) animatronic and bubble system was added to King Triton's float and a Jiminy Cricket animatronic was added to the finale float.

I like this picture because of the way it looks like Walt and Mickey are smiling and laughing. This was taken with an ultra wide angle lens, which is why the castle looks so far away. Also, this is one of the first pictures I took with this lens, and I had to crop a LOT out of the picture to get it where I wanted it.
