Wegen Beseitigung von Hochwasserschäden im Elbtal war die elektrische Hauptstrecke gesperrt und man fuhr mit Dieselvorspann Umleitung. Der Euro City kam mit 120 Minuten verspätet an und die verwendeten 749 253 und 254 bildeten mit der Mehrsystemlok 371 001 in Prager Hauptbahnhof einen Lokzug, um gemeinsam ins BW abzurücken.

Diesel shunter series 721 with a car park to set away. Most cars in Slovakia are full of graffiti, lucky I catched a clean train.

Eine Lok dieser Baureihe wurde in Deutschland wieder aufgearbeitet und gehört wohl einer Gleisbaufirma aus Gotha. Die Zulassung hatte die Baureihe, da es schon einige Exemplare in der DDR gab.

Fast train Service (Rychlik) arrives at Turcianske Teplice/Slovakia.

Der Bahnhof hat offensichtlich vor mehr als 30 Jahren die letzte größere Instandsetzung erhalten. Alles verströmt den zweifelhaften Charme von Morbidität. Aber die Lok ist wie neu, durch Umbauten einer früher mal originalen 750 ist mittlerweile eine 757 geworden.

Wenn wir dank "Energiewende" nun reichlich Strom haben, ist es mir unverständlich, dass man dem Oberleitungsbus keine 2. Chance gibt. Ein bisschen Forschung reingesteckt und das Gefährt updaten, Strippen ziehen und fertig. Der "Deichselhirsch" meiner Heimatstadt Gera hat schon 1976 ausgehaucht, momentan gibt es nur noch Eberswalde und Esslingen.

ZSSK 350 mit Intercity Bratislava - Kosice an der sehr bekannten Fotostelle von Strba. Der Höhenzug der Tatra liegt leider in den Wolken.

Gorilla is the nickname of this powerful electric loco, seen here on an Intercity train in front of the Tatra mountains, they are unfortunately in the clouds.

Auf deutschen Gleisen gibt es keine Doppelloks, aber in der Slowakei auf der Hauptstrecke nach Kosice entlang der Hohen Tatra, da findet man sie.

Liechtenstein-Bus in Feldkirch/Österreich mit dem historischen Katzenturm

They are already in my stream, the two double-deckers of the Principality of Liechtenstein. I stopped by in Feldkirch/Austria, one of the final destination for FL-busses and catched one of them again. Miracle was, that the sun came out in this very rainy week and no other car appeared in neither direction. One of the happierst moments as a photographer ever.

Energy Container is the nickname for east german loco series 250 (today re-numbered into 155), seen here with a single waste container. Trains that short we don't see that often.

01 509 der PRESS mit stilechtem DR-Sonderzug auf dem Weg nach Binz/Rügen. Die am anderen Ende sichtbare 145 mit Fleischmann-Werbung hat wohl die ganze (Schiebe)arbeit geleistet.

01 509, an oil-fired former fast train loco of Deutsche Reichsbahn, belongs now to Press Railways, seen here just outside Berlin with a special train to the Baltic Sea Coast.
