I was going to try to get tonight’s full moon with the Arch but I didn't have my tripod with me and it was going to be too dark by the time the moon made it's appearance. I do like this view of the Arch even though my mind's eye had a moon included.

Early November has become my favorite time to visit Washington DC. Travel companions – the best! The weather was great and reduced crowds made a GREAT trip a PERFECT trip!

Jefferson Memorial

We just spent 10 days in Washington. There was no breeze this night making the reflecting pool near the Jefferson Memorial a mirror. This picture was taken from Martin Luther King Memorial the newest monument. More from Washington once I get caught up. September and October were very busy photo months.

I should have taken a trip downtown this morning after getting off the plane to take advantage of St. Louis bathed in a layer of fog. A late monument in the dark night photo opportunity, an early morning flight and Molly the kitty tugging at my heart took me home. Thanks Kristen for kitty sitting! Sorry she was a mess.

I lightened the colors because the colors in the photo looked almost blood red. I'm not a fan of the Pink Arch, not because 'they shouldn't' but because I think it made it harder to shoot.

Wanted to try my hand at sunrise shots - Check. Had another location in mind for sunset but due to construction in progress that shot will have to wait. We managed to be directly across the river from the sunrise location when capturing the sunset. Construction was a good thing! Only post production adjustments consisted of cropping. No clouds yesterday provided raw color for these shots.

This is one of my favs of the St. Louis Arch. I love the colors and details of the welded sections. The Arch is an amazing working sculpture.

July trip to the arch. We visited the Arch Grounds with my NY friend Cookie. What a great evening even in the middlle of a Mid-west heatwave!
