Mama, the rescued monkey gripping Dennis' finger. Poor Mama was kept in a small box for most of her life. She doesn't like women. She really took a liking to Dennis and always came running to him when he called her name. She's now safe and sound, and happier now that she's living at Philip's Animal Garden in Aruba.

This is Number Ten in my arms, the little pup we adopted from Wayaca Animal Shelter in Aruba. We brought her home to Canada and are thrilled to watch her thrive as she overcomes her fears!

This lovely girl broke my heart. She came into the shelter with a pup, but her chances of finding a forever home are slim to none. If anyone is interested in adopting this beautiful mama, please let me know...it can be easily arranged!

Wayaca Animal Shelter in Aruba. We spent several days at the shelter, interacting with the dogs and volunteers. Aruba has a serious problem with stray dogs. The general public do NOT spay/neuter their pets and thousands are euthanized every year. The numbers are staggering and inexcusable. I'm hoping that other tourists will step up and complain to the Aruba government to start educating their public, and offer more financial support to the shelters there.

Awesome sunset in Kelowna, BC. Kelowna is probably the cleanest place I have ever been....no litter/garbage, and the air smells so clean with a hint of pine coming off the mountains!
