Supposedly the best coffee in this country according to the AD Koffietest 2012. I chose an espresso macchiato (pride of Thailand blend) because I wanted a bít of creamy (but not wiener melange like Pepijn =')) and a (baked) cheesecake I couldn't finish! =')

Last week we were in Amsterdam, at 'De taart van mijn Tante' (My aunt's pie, Lit: "The cake/pie of my aunt.") which was incredibly kitsch! but we had fun, there was wonderful cake! Turned out the cakes at La Mano Maestra are brought in from there =')

The coffee? I was actually quite disappointed. I'm probably a bad coffee lover for saying this, because I am not really big fan of the crema rim when there's foam involved. If it's done normally it doesn't bother me, just one sip and it's gone. But now it took over practically all my foam. To be cutesy.
The coffee itself was ok, a little weak. Not the brew, the bean. But you know, after all that crema my tongue might've just given up.

The thing is, this is supposed to be 10/10 (and you pay for that!) yet I have had WAY better last week at Two for Joy.

Yesterday Pepijn took me to 'Two for Joy', a small scale coffee roaster and café (I think there are multiple!) in Amsterdam. Look how small their roaster is! =D Coffee was good, played some set, had a croissant, walked in the sun after! ^_^ (on our way to the next place =p )

Yup, apparently Zoetermeer has dumped turtles that thrive very well! This semiaquatic turtle was about 25 cm (a foot) and enjoying the beautiful weather, sunbathing with his hindlegs stretched ^_^ I used to have one of these. Never got bigger then the palm of my hand before he died. Nowadays you can't get these red-eared sliders because people dumped them in grachten, lakes, etc when they outgrew a kid-size aquarium. Prove above =')
