"Diving into my archives from last Fall. Pacific Chorus Tree Frog sunbathing on a flower. I'm too busy to wander and find pics this week. Took Jasmine hiking this morning...saw lots of Elk tracks and coyote scat....but didn't "see" any wildlife. Jasmine "took off after something" but we didn't see what she was chasing. Fortunately, she turned back and didn't bring anything back with her.

I uploaded lots of mantids images last Sept but left out quite a few. So today I decided to upload the rest as I am ramping up for mantis season soon. Around here they show up in Sept/ Oct....so it won't be long.

I'm posting this mainly to let you know why I haven't been able to visit your streams of late. It seems that my stomach flu has returned. I was flat on my back yesterday and still feeling unwell today. Geez......I rarely get sick so this is getting old.

Going to the coast

'Tomorrow we're going to the Washington coast for a short day drive. My Dad and siblings are ocean fishing and I will be taking pics of them as they come back to the dock with their catch.
These images are from my archives. Hopefully the weather will be nice and not too foggy as it's suppose to be in the 90's here inland.

Barn Swallow (Hirundo rustica). Not feeling very ambitious about driving to the refuge today despite ideal conditions....so decided to post some bird images taken this time last year but didn't upload.

This is from my archives. I have nothing new to post as I have been LAZY and not out taking pics. Don't know what's gotten into me...maybe it's just the summer doldrums ....hope your week is going well.

About this image:
Taken at our beach cottage. It feels strange not to have it any more. I was standing outside and noticed the window being illuminated by the setting sun.

*Rusty is doing well today after his dental work yesterday.
*Jasmine's training has come to a halt for the moment. We are not happy with the techniques used for her in-home sessions working with strangers coming inside. We may shift and work on her behavior around Rusty instead.
