Farewell to my beautiful dog - friend - companion Merlin. His life came to an end yesterday.
He goes to join the animal ancestors and will go down in the storybooks of the truly great dogs.

From other
angles the
fibers look
fragile, but
not from the
spider’s, always
hauling coarse
ropes, hitching
lines to the
best posts
possible. It’s
heavy work
everyplace,
fighting sag,
winching up
give. It
isn’t ever
delicate
to live.

Farewell my prince

Farewell to my beautiful dog - friend - companion Merlin. His life came to an end yesterday.

This is in a very pristine wilderness area - up the Loxahatchee River in Jupiter Florida.
You can only get up here by boat and I appreciate it when I visit and my brother will take me up there. We used to visit up here often in the 1950s and 1960, growing up on this River.
