Indeed - Paros and Antiparos are absolutely beautiful ...

So to those thinking of visiting - I can only encourage you!! There is much to see and enjoy and fall in love with :)

To those who are feeling the pull, looking to return to Greece and her islands ... I hope that this image does for you what it does for me - overwhelmingly tug at the heart strings !!!

This image was taken as I was sitting outside a fabulous beachfront taverna enjoying some good food and local wine and of course fantastic company ...

I think I fell in love with Naoussa ... beautiful village, gorgeous fishing harbour, fabulously fresh food in the restaurants right at the water's edge ... ... it just felt so good to be here !!

(this is my cousin walking along, but I did have a good giggle at her when she saw these images - she was astonished to see herself in these shots - she'd been quite oblivious to the fact that I was even shooting, never mind actually had her in the shot :) ... )

somehow this one is extra special to me ... don't know what it is ... maybe it still contains the feeling I had when I came around the corner and discovered the magical play of light. Shrouded in that haze is a pond. It was frozen solid that morning. It was the second pond I went past that morning ... and it was the first indication of the fun and games to be had in the woods that day :-) This currently serves as my desktop and with that I only reluctantly switch my laptop off ;-) if I could put this on my desktop at work, I'd never do any work I think - I'd be too busy dreaming of wandering through the forest *chuckles*
...
let's see, with a bit of luck we have a pretty sunrise tomorrow & then that'll save you lovely folk from more woodland mystery ;-) ... and on Friday I'm headed off to Wales ... let's hope for some spectacular weather then :-) Can't wait to get those valleys through my lens!!

lol ... the pics I'm putting in the stream just so I can play "I spy" games :-D *chuckles* , though the "alphabet" game and "I have a request please" are also keeping me chuckling ;-) ... the things we do for some light-hearted fun and entertainment :-)

the door ... I walk past this place often when I return from my walks in the woods ... there is one building which contains three homes ... a red door a yellow door and a blue door ... :-) gorgeous! All three gardens are absolutely spectacular ... three typical English Country gardens obviously tended to with love and care always :-) beautiful!!
Interestingly, the pub in that area is called the Gardener's Arms :-) ... beautiful neighbourhood!!

OOOoohhhh !! You guys explored the door !!! :-D ... Now I just might have to go knock on it after all and go tell the lovely folk there that their front door has been admired immensely!! :-D

So for the past 9 months or so I've been aboard cruise ships working as photographer ... the last three months have been spent in the Caribbean! :) A-mazing ;)

Things are changing ... and change is good :) ... and I'm growing and developing along with it all ... and so I've decided to change my profile here on flickr to SeeOneSoul - in keeping with the several other things that are going on for me these days :) Please do come and look me up under SeeOneSoul ... I'll be coming to look for you too so we can link up as contacts there :)) ... but I figure well link up quicker if all of you look for the one of me, rather than the one of me coming to look for all of you :))

This shot was taken two mornings ago before work … I was up early and headed for the woods again (been doing that a lot lately), and seeing that I’ve finally figured out how to get to the Deer Sanctuary, I decided to go & have a look … ... and I was in luck!!
The light was golden, the air was hazy and dreamy from the night’s slumber … and the deer were visible from the fence !!! :)) What a delight! The sanctuary is not actually accessible, so I wandered along the fence, looking for good vantage points, trying hard to get clear shots through the tight mesh fence!

... and to think that an hour and a half or so after taking this shot I was sat at my desk in the square mile of London, processing applications for financial failure insurance …

This one just made me think of a discussion Tracey and I had today about perspectives ... about what we see - barriers or challenges or stepping stones - whether we resist and fight the things that apparently stand in our paths or whether we chose a wider perspective and see the many "easy" ways around the apparent "barricade" ...
Anyway - Tracey asked whether I have any shots of paths without people in them ... so I just had to come and upload this one ... - Tracey, I'll have a look what else I've got and you can have a look whether any of them "speak" to you, yes?

today was stunningly beautiful! We've had the heaviest snowfall that London has seen in the last 18 years or so (so the news reports say). All public transport was a total shambles and the city of London was relatively immobilised as folk could not get to into the city / to the office today. Instead, people headed outdoors to enjoy the splendour of the day!!
Thank you Kimberly for letting me know about the Explore!! Scout only picked it up MUCH later, but then somehow my flickr has been messing about badly all week anyway :-(
