Whew! It's been a while since I've uploaded anything! We've been busy finishing up the house, packing, and unpacking! We are closing in on our first week in the house and I am glad I actually have a desk to work on editing at! I've also recently got Lightroom so I'm trying to figure out how it works. Fun stuff!

Anyway, here is a shot of Ben Appetit! I'm a huge fan of the Citizens of Hollywood and could spend all day watching them.

Animal Kingdom Lodge

Last Mother's Day we surprised my mom with a stay at the Animal Kingdom Lodge. She'd been wanting to stay there for forever and wanted to go to Disney World for Mother's Day weekend, as we usually do. Once we got on Disney property, we stole her glasses (she's blind without them, don't worry... she wasn't driving!) and made her guess where we were going. She is also directionally challenged so she thought we were somewhere near Port Orleans. When we pulled in to the resort we gave her glasses back and she started jumping up and down in her seat while we parked.

Our room had a view of Everest and a family of giraffes (with a baby!) liked to hang out around our balcony. My mom loved staying there and always mentions going back again. We're surprising her this weekend with another Mother's Day room at the Animal Kingdom Lodge. I'm expecting the same reaction.

One morning on my December trip with the BF, on our "sleep in day," of course I woke up super early. So I ventured out to our balcony to enjoy the peaceful morning, the view, and these fabulous clouds that I love so much.

My parents, my brother, and I went to Disney World for our annual Christmas celebration. Because of schedules, we were only to stay one night this visit. We enjoyed dinner at the Boardwalk then walked over to MGM to see the Osborne Lights. After the lights we spent some time at Magic Kingdom, then went back to our room at the Dolphin to fall into bed and wait for Santa to arrive.

Before heading home we stopped at MGM (whatever, I still call it that!) to grab breakfast from the Starring Rolls Cafe. One of my favorite things to do is grab a cinnamon roll and a chocolate milk, find an empty bench on Sunset Blvd, and people watch while I eat breakfast.

As part of our dinner package to see Neil Patrick Harris narrate the Candlelight Processional at Epcot, we had a late lunch at Nine Dragons in the China pavilion. They were decorated for the holidays throughout the restaurant.

The BF and I went on our annual long December weekend trip to Disney World! The first night there, we walked over to Epcot to buy some tea in the UK and to listen to the new band, The British Revolution. They did a really great job, especially when they closed out the show with their amazing rendition of Bohemian Rhapsody.

Fountain of Illuminations

I was at Epcot with my family and some family friends to celebrate my moms birthday and enjoy the Food and Wine Festival. We were all exhausted by the end of the day and just wanted to use our Soarin' fastpasses and go back to our room. By the time we were finished with Soarin', Illuminations was about 10 minutes away from starting so my brother, his girlfriend, and I decided to stick around. I wanted to try viewing it from somewhere different and decided on right in front of the Fountain of Nations. I didn't have my tripod with me so my brother rolled one of the pin trading tables over a bit to center it for me and I relied on the steadiness of the table. It was an okay spot to watch Illuminations. Many of the bursts are pretty low until the last few seconds of the show, but I was at Epcot so I was happy and didn't mind just soaking up the Future World atmosphere during the down time.
