My submission to my lovely friend Roni's group she started over on FB. This weeks theme is peace.

I posted this photo because I had taken it the night before in Maui where I was on a layover and I couldn't get over that I was able to be there to observer this amazing sunset. I had just had a great dinner with my crew and we walked across the street to the beach to watch the sun go down. I was struck by the beauty of the evening and as I sat there for the hour enjoying the company of my crew members I felt at peace.

I have been absent quite a bit from Flickr this summer..... been busy with the kiddos traveling and having fun and then scrambling to get them ready for school. Im working {although to Lihue and to Maui} over labor day weekend. Hoping you have a great one.

Was driving out of my driveway last night and the way the sun was shining through the clouds was just stunning. I was in a hurry {as usual} so I couldn't go back for my camera and had to take it with my iPhone. This is looking over at the neighbors.

I was going to “leap” for leap day but the day got away from me and this is one of the few photos I took today. We had SNOW and I am post workout, no make up and tired so it isn’t much of a photo but it is me!
By the way, did you know that Leap Year doesn’t happen every 4 years?
Leap year happens on years divisable by 4, but not years also divisable by 100, except of course unless it is also divisable by 400. Yep, I am sure I cleared that up for ya.

Strawberries

I have had some busy days and even though I took my camera with me I didn't have many opportunities for photos {or maybe I was just to tired to be creative} I worked a series of flights to Alaska called The Milk Run that had me making 5 different stops {in one day} to places like Wrangle, Cordova, and Petersburg and then finally for the night Anchorage. Once there after the long day and only 4 hours sleep I didn't end up venturing out, oh and did I say it was COLD.
The next night found me in Phoenix. Imagine packing for that trip. In Phoenix I barley fell in bed and was up at the crack of dawn to meet a girlfriend of mine I haven't seen in 5 years for breakfast before I headed back to Seattle.
That is where the Strawberries came from, my early morning breakfast. I love oatmeal, I love strawberries, and I love catching up with long lost friends but together..... it was more than satisfying.

Im sitting in the Orange County Airport {for 3 hours} waiting for my flight back to Seattle a little bummed because it was overcast and I wasn't going to be able to get a photo for the day when all the sudden the sun bursts through the clouds.
