I flew in an Embraer EMB-120 Brasilia from San Jose/Santa Barbara/Los Angeles. Flight wasn't too bad.

The view of LA from an airplane after takeoff. That's smog in between the sky and the city. You can see Manhattan Beach (part of it), Hermosa Beach, Redondo Beach and Torrance Beach from left to right.

I walked around the cactus firing my SB600. Next time I'll use a gel.

And to my suprise, I managed not to walk in to or sit on another cactus. It was totally pitch black.

I walked around with an SB600 firing it off during exposure. Next time I'll use a gel over the strobe since the light on the cactus is kinda "flashy". Also I need to do figure out a way of being able to focus on a subject when it's pitch dark.

You can see a wide-angle shot of the left cactus here. My friend Josh took the linked shot.

On the flight deck of the USS Hornet museum.

I really wish I was thinking straight and fired some fill flash for this shot. I had my SB600 with me but I left my brain somewhere else.

I was in a rush to take pictures on the flight deck, since the museum was closing in 10 minutes. I rushed the shots and still ended up getting locked on the flight deck.
