Sülüklü Lake is located in Akyokuş Kavağı Village near Adapazarı-Akyazı. It is a three-hour drive away from Istanbul. The dirt road beginning from the entrance to the Sülüklügöl Protected Nature Area continues for 9 kilometers to the lake, making 16 kilometers with the return walk. The lake is 1200 meters above sea level and formed as the result of a landslide three centuries ago. Dead pine and oak trees which collapsed during the landslide are still in the lake. (That is what you see sticking out) Although it is called Sülüklü Göl (Lake with Leeches), you won't see leeches, though there where leeches before, as the villagers breed trout in the lake, they ate all the leeches. The color of the lake is either green or turquoise, depending on the season. The most suitable trekking season is spring. But most beautiful is in the fall. Although the 4-5 hour walk is tiring, it is among the favorite routes of trekkers with its fresh air and stunning landscape. And you can go up with a car also, though, of course with a suitable one. You will love the scenery.. The road was awesome, one I can't forget...

Wonderful lightning and thunder was around. I had to lay flat down on the (wet) ground to take this, it was huge, and rapidly growing. The light wasn't in the best conditions, and because of the fast growth, didn't really have time to try different exposures.

Answer to my luckiness;
Yes, lucky, but I was running all over the shore (madly) for at least 2 hours. So the luck came with being ready also.
It was a superbly fast changing, amazing, wild sky that day. So many photos taken, and I turned my back always to see a different stunning sky! Yep, I was lucky:))

Sokollu Mehmet Pasha Mosque

The Sokollu Mehmet Pasha Mosque (Turkish: ' Sokollu Pasa Camii') is an Ottoman mosque located in the Kadirga neighborhood of the Eminönü district of Istanbul, Turkey.

The Sokoullu Mehmet Pasha Mosque was designed by Ottoman imperial architect Mimar Sinan for Grand Vizier Sokollu Mehmet Pasha (husband of one of the granddaughters of Sultan Suleiman the Magnificent, Princess Esmahan. Its building took place from 1571 to 1572. The mosque is official named after Princess Esmahan.

Exterior

The mosque is noted for its architecturally challenging location on a steep slope. Sinan resolved this issue by fronting the mosque with a two-story a courtyard. The bottom story (now in ruins) was divided into shops, whose rents were intended to help support the upkeep of mosque. The upper story with an open colonnaded courtyard had the spaces between the columns on three sides walled off to form small rooms, each with a small window, fireplace and niche to store bedding, forming the living accommodations for a madrasah. Instruction for students was given in the prayer hall itself, or in the dershane, a large domed room over the western staircase. The fourth side of the courtyard is the mosque itself, which is designed as a hexagon inscribed in a rectangle, topped by a dome with four small semi-domes in the corners.

Interior

The interior of the Sokulu Mehet Pasha Mosque is famous for its large quantities of exquisite İznik tiles, set in a very wide variety of blue and green floral designs, with panels of calligraphy in white letters on a blue field. The interior columns make use of polychrome marble. The minbar is made of white marble with a conical cap, sheathed in turquoise tiles, which also frame the mihrab. The windows above the mithrab are stained glass. Above the door, framed by a gold design, is a fragment of the Kaaba in Mecca; other fragments of this black stone are in the minbar and mihrab.

Answer to filter or lens: Sigma 10-20 does that effect when the
aperture is low. The lower it is, the more sun star effect.

Last time so many people thought my moon was a sun so I had to put my Sun Star too.

I'm not really a portrait person, but I couldn't resist trying vedats style. He's my only favorite portraitist.
I learned that she grew up without a mother, but though she had rough days, she always smiled. Everyone loved her.

Normalde portre çeken veya seven biri değilim. Ama en sevdiğim portreci vedats'ın tarzını denemeden edemedim.
Öğrendim ki, anasız büyümüş, o kadar çileye rağmen hep gülümsermiş. Çok da sevilen biri.
