In Zanzibar there is a tide every 10-12 hours. As soon as the water is gone some 1-2 kilometres away to the Indian Ocean, the natives jump in to collect as much seaweed as they can. Then they use it manufacturing various things and earn money by selling them.

self portrait - i was a part of the shot for about 20secs of the whole 30secs exposure - with the help of my tripod, which was placed on the last step before the entrance of Lincoln Memorial building. at the back of the photo you can see the Washington Monument .

Whilst driving our way back from Lake Manyara, we found this little girl walking by herself in the middle of nowhere. We stopped and tried to communicate with her but she didn't understand any English at all. She was just pointing at her self saying "Paschalina". I took out of my backpack a chocolate and an orange juice. She was completely shocked like she couldn't believe what was happening. When i gave them to her, she started dancing and jumping around like crazy. With just a chocolate and an orange juice. I asked her to take this shot and then left. I 'll never forget this encounter.
