The Purple Gentian grow up to 20-60 cm high. There are one to three purple-red blossoms find in the upper leaf axles. I saw this one on the Wallberg (1.722 m) next to Rottach-Egern (Tegernsee, Bavaria Germany)
This type is mainly in the Western Alps (up to the Arlberg) and Norway represented Apennines and prefers sour soils between 1,200 - 2,800 m above sea level. The leaves are ovate lanceolate. The blossoms are bell-shaped and purple with dark dots. These are delicate rose fragrance and are used by bumblebees. The tiny seeds weigh only 0.00048 g. Blossom time is July to September. The Gentian belongs to the protected plants!

Der Purpur-Enzian wird 20-60 cm hoch. Je 1 bis 3 purpurroten Blüten sitzen in den oberen Blattachsen. Ich habe sie auf dem Wallberg (1.722 m) bei Rottach-Egern (Tegernsee, Bayern) gefunden.
Diese Art ist vor allem in den Westalpen (bis zum Arlberg) Apennin und Norwegen vertreten und bevorzugt kalkarme Böden zwischen 1.200 - 2.800 m Seehöhe. Die Blätter sind eiförmig lanzettlich. Die Blüten sind glockenförmig und purpurrot mit dunklen Punkten. Diese besitzen feinen Rosenduft und werden von Hummeln bestäubt. Die winzigen Samen wiegen nur 0,00048 g. Blütezeit ist Juli bis September. Der Purpur Enzian gehört zu den geschützten Pflanzen!
