This image was taken exactly a week ago today. It's hard to think that one week ago I was standing here enjoying this beautiful sunrise on the North Shore of Isla Mujeres. If I could just have my feet in that warm water today :)

I'm going to start my uploads from this trip with ones that are a bit more simple and straight forward and work my way to the ones that I think are really good. I would love to hear some feedback from people on these images. I feel as I put alot more thought into what I was shooting. I really wanted to come back with a handfull of images that I really loved. So, I did alot more waiting this time before I pressed the shutter button. Please feel free to share your thoughts on the image and the processing. If you have any pointers or ctiticisms. I'm all ears :)

On a side note... What do you all use to wipe down your filters from salt spray? I always bring a terry towel with me but always end up with smears and goods on my photos. Maybe a bottle of freshwater would help get the salt rinsed off and use a dry terry to dry off the freshwater? What do you ocean pros use/do? I'm heading to the ocean again soon and would like to have a better plan :)
A Warm Sweep of Tropical Water on My Feet. Tulum, Mexico

Not sure how I feel about this image. Although this actual moment was quite nice. It was another moment all by myself with my camera. This time standing in bathtub warm water watching the sun come up. Quite a peaceful feeling :)

Nikki and I had rented bikes for the week, so we could get where we needed to go. I religiously got up at 5:30am every morning for sunrise and only missed one sunset the whole time we were in Tulum.

This image was taken on our last morning here. About a 10 minute walk away from where we were staying. We had returned the bikes the night before and knew that we were getting picked up at 7:30am for our 2 hour drive back to the airport. My options for forground interest were limited. I knew I only had about an hour to shoot before I had to head back and get things ready to go. I picked this sucken in piece of drift wood in hopes that it would work. Not sure if it does or not?? Let me know what you think...

Seems like I'm still having a bit of a flickr saturation issue. My pics look much more vibrant in Lightroom then here. Do they look flat as far as color goes??

It's been a long week. Sorry I have not been around to visit everyones streams. I will try and catch up tomorrow.

I'm sure it's not super warm on the coast of Cali right now, but here in Minnesota we are experiencing a very cold beginning to winter. It is really bumming me out. I do not think we have seen the sun for days now.

I thought I would throw up a image from San Diego. Something with a warm feeling. Even though it really was not that warm when this picture was taken.

I am looking forward to some warm sun at the end of January. As Nikki and I are taking a relaxing... lay on the beach, do some scuba diving and take some photos vacation time in Tulum. It will be here quicker than I think it will.. but not soon enough :)

Hope everyone is well. I'll catch up with all your newest uploads tomorrow.
